Graduated, as predected, in Rome.
- Since 2013 he has held the position of "GVM Care & Research" Cardiac Surgery Coordinator or, on a national level, coordinates (or directs) all the Cardiac Surgeries belonging to "GVM Care & Research";
- Since 2008 he is Director of the Cardiac Surgery Department at Anthea Hospital (BARI) and City of Lecce Hospital (LECCE), as well as Director, since 2016, of the Cardiac Surgery Department of the Santa Maria Hospital (BARI);
- Carries out activities at the Cardiological Clinical Institute (ICC) and at the San Carlo Nancy Hospital (ROME);
- Since 2011 he has held the important position of Vice President "GVM Care and Research";
- He was adjunct professor of "Specialization in Cardiology" and "Teaching of Cardiac Surgery", in the two-year period 2008-2009, at the University of Ferrara;
- He was adjunct professor of "Diagnostic Cardiology by Images" and "Cardiac Surgery", in the two-year period 2008-2009, at the University of Rome "La Sapienza";
- He was adjunct professor of "Diagnostic Cardiology for Images" and "Cardiac Surgery", in 2007, at the University of Rome "La Sapienza";
- In the two-year period 2005-2007 he was co-responsible of the Cardiac Surgery Division at the Ligurian Clinical Institute of High Specialty "Rapallo" (former Villa Azzurra Hospital);
- In 1998 he worked at the Department of Cardiac and Vascular Surgery "Maria Pia Hospital" (TURIN);
- In the two-year period 1997-1998 he was Researcher at the U.O. Cardiac Surgery of the "G. Pasquinucci" Hospital of the National Research Council (MASSA);
- In 2006 he was a training Visiting Fellow at the "St Luc Hospital" (BRUSSELS);
- In the two-year period 1995-1997 he was a Fellow at the "New England Medical Center" of the Department of Cardiac Surgery of prof. Douglas Payne (BOSTON, USA);
- He worked at the Department of Cardiac Surgery of prof. Gebrine El Koury, in 2006 (BRUSSELS, BELGIUM);
- Since 2019 he is a member of the AATS (American Association for Thoracic Surgery);
- In the three-year period 2018-2021 he was Vice President of AIOP Puglia;
- In the two-year period 2015-2016 he was elected Director of the Italian Society of Cardiac Surgery;
-Since 2016 he is Co-founder and President of the Scientific Committee "Mitral Academy" (Scientific Society in the field of Cardiac Surgery and Interventional Cardiology);
- President of Confindustria Puglia - Health Section, in 2012;
- Active member of the Italian Society of Accredited Hospital Cardiology (SICOA), in 2003;
- Active member of the Italian Society of Cardiac Surgery, in 1996;
